Although cars can operate with a mechanical key and an authorised transponder chip, most modern cars are equipped with central locking and have a remote fob. The remote fob is either part of the key or an addition fob on the keyring. Some cars work off a remote with a proximity key, that works by passing an electronic code between key and car.
A new key fob remote will need to be programmed to your vehicle. We can do this at your home, office or even at roadside.
We can supply a range of remotes that will operate your car, either a ‘manufacturer’s original’ or an ‘aftermarket’ one. An aftermarket remote may be more cost effective and will perform the exact same function as a manufacturer’s original.
If you currently have a remote fob that is not working, we also offer a repair service. If it is possible to repair the fob, this potentially could save you money when compared to the cost of buying a new one.
